Not too long ago my co-author in thesis submitted the final version of thesis. It means I have almost completed my MBA programme. I am convinced that I would get good grade in this thesis.
Looking back my time spent on the studying the MBA programme, I think it is worthwhile. I admitted that I lost something e.g. having fun with friends in Sweden etc.. However, I never regret it. Life is a matter of choices. You only can choose what is more important and have to sacrifice something at certain point of time. MBA programme helps me to gain knowledge in business administration. More importantly, I now understand how the management team uses tactics, skills and systems to influence employees. Employees who think they are outstanding, never know that actually they are "guided" by management teams. It just look like a driver (i.e. the management team) ties carrot to a stick to dangle the donkey - to induce the donkey to move to desirable direction. The donkey is not limited to the "employees", it can extended to the "consumers". The difference is that in general "employees" (i.e. donkey) have to obeyed the driver since they are getting money (i.e. carrot) from the "employer" (i.e. driver). On the other hand, "consumers" are a smarter donkey that would negotiate with AND/OR choosing the prefered products (i.e. carrot) from companies (i.e. driver). Otherwise, it doesn't work!
If someone asked me whether he should study the MBA programme, I would definitely recommended him to study if he got sufficient money to pay for tuition fee. MBA would change your mind, providing a new direction in life. Most "employees" do not know how their behaviour are induced by the "employers" at all.
Traditionally, we were taught that the most hard working people are likely to have a better future, e.g. can earn more money. This is wrong. Many clever individuals have been working very hard but never get what they want in the late stage of life. Once they realize it, it is often too late to change since they maybe in mid 40s.
Life is short! How many 5 years you have in life? We have to become smarter to choose our path to ensure that we have a good future. Choosing a correct path is somewhat more important than working hard - my life's philosophy!
